Adidas and Ben Stokes have revealed a set of custom-designed footwear for his upcoming tour of Australia, produced in partnership with acclaimed fine artist and customiser Jordan Dawson.
Guided by in-depth discussions with Stokes, Dawson shaped the artwork around the experiences, relationships, and personal milestones that the all-rounder sought to acknowledge as he enters a defining stage of his career.
The finished designs tell a story of resilience and gratitude, capturing the challenges Stokes has confronted and the individuals who have played a meaningful role in his journey.
The focal point of the artwork is a rising phoenix; symbolising the resilience and willpower that has helped one of cricket’s modern greats to overcome injuries and come back stronger every time.
The phoenix – hand-painted in red, orange and gold - features across the heels of both his Adipower Incurza and 22YDS Incurza footwear. The personalised Adipower Incurza footwear also features nods to Ben Stokes’ family, including a silhouette of the celebration that he dedicates to his late father.
